Recently, two innovation studios of the BJAST were approved as municipal (demonstrative) employee innovation studios and municipal employee innovation studios in 2020, and two scientific research achievements won the second and third prizes of independent innovation achievements respectively.

The Du Meihong Innovation Studio of the Beijing Center for Physical and Chemical Analysis was approved as a municipal (demonstrative) employee innovation studios in 2020. The team’s "New Preparation Method and Application of Immunomagnetic Beads for Capture and Separation of Microbial Pathogenic Bacteria" won the second prize for 2020 Capital Independent Innovation Achievements of Employees, Du Meihong, Chen Ting, and Li Jingwen won the honorary title of "Famous Teacher Leading Apprentice" in 2020. The Danmo Innovation Studio of the Beijing Municipal Institute of Labour Protection was approved for the 2020 Municipal Staff Innovation Studio. The project "Key Technology and Production Design for the Production of Complete Nutritional Emulsion for Formulated Food for Special Medical Purposes" by Liu Lu's team from Beijing Institute of Nutritional Sources won the third prize of the 2020 Capital Workers' Independent Innovation Achievement Award.
