On March 31, the "2021 New Year Economic Summit Forum" with the theme of "Reconstructing Growth-Digital Economy and Unicorns" was held. The forum was co-sponsored by the Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce, the BJAST and the Beijing Political and Private Economic Development Research Center, and was organized by the Vitalization International Institute, the Beijing Decision-making Consultant Center (BJAST Think Tank), and the Science and Technology Think Tank Magazine. Relevant leaders of state ministries and commissions and Beijing Municipality attended the meeting and nearly 500 people participated, including representatives from the municipal and district federations of industry and commerce, business associations, business circles, colleges and universities, and media. Zheng Huanmin, President of BJAST, delivered a speech.

Li Zhiqi, member of the Beijing Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice chairman of the Beijing Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, and chairman of the Beijing Political and Private Economic Development Research Center, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Reconstructing Growth: Future Industries 2035". Liu Yanhua, former counsellor of the State Council and former vice minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ma Guangyuan, independent economist, deputy director of the Central Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association, and commentator of CCTV Finance Channel, Huang Jianhui, member of the Think Tank of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and president of Research Institute of China Minsheng Bank, respectively delivered strategic speeches on "Digital Economy Era", "Future Industry" and "Building Digital Finance Digital Transformation of Private Economy in the 14th Five Year Plan" to build digital finance. Outstanding representatives of private enterprises such as Zhongshang Huimin delivered keynote speeches on the current macroeconomic development trend. Qu Qingchao, member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the Economic Committee, discussed the topic of "Future Forum: Imagine 2035".

Zheng Huanmin pointed out that promoting digital industrialization and industrial digitization, promoting the deep integration of digital technology and real economy, and creating new advantages of digital economy are the way for future economic development. This paper discusses "digital economy and unicorn enterprise" to meet the characteristics of the times and social needs. It is hoped that the experts and scholars attending the meeting could speak freely and make suggestions for promoting high-quality economic development and helping to build a new development pattern.

The forum released the "2020 Beijing Unicorn Enterprise Development Report". The report makes a comprehensive study on the development of Beijing unicorn enterprises, puts forward the main measures to promote the development of Beijing unicorn enterprises, and looks forward to the development trend of Beijing unicorn enterprises.
